(TR) 2022-2023 sezonun Ziraat Türkiye Kupası şampiyonu Fenerbahçe, rakibi Galatasaray'ın da transferde faal bir süreç geçirmesine karşılık kusursuz denilebilecek bir transfer sezonuyla yeni döneme merhaba dedi. Sarı lacivertliler yeni sezona hazırlık sürecinde Avrupa'da ses getirmiş ve ses getirmeye hala devam eden oyuncuları bünyesine kattı.

UEFA KONFERANS LİGİ

Eleme turlarında Zimbru ve Maribor'u zorlanmadan geçen sarı lacivertliler Play-Off turunda Twente'yi de sorunsuz geçti. H grubunda Ludagorets, FC Nordsjælland ve Spartak Trnava ile karşılaşarak macerasına başlayan Fenerbahçe ilk maçında evinde Nordsjælland'ı 3-1 geçerek gruba 3 puanla başladı. Ardından Spartak Trnava'ya konuk olan ve 2-1 lik skor ile hanesine bir 3 puan daha yazdıran Fenerbahçe bir sonraki maçta evinde Ludagorets'i 3-1 yenerek liderliğini perçinlemiş oldu.

Gruptaki 4. maçta ise hayal kırıklığına uğrayan Fenerbahçe deplasmanda Ludagorets'e karşı istediğini bulamadı ve Bulgar takımına karşı 2-0 kaybetti. Bir sonraki maçında tekrar deplasmana giden Fenerbahçe hayal kırıklığı yaratan farkla bir mağlubiyet daha aldı. Nordsjælland ekibi evinde temsilcimiz Fenerbahçe'yi 6-1 gibi farklı bir skorla mağlup etti. Sakatlık ve eksiklerinde fazla olduğu bu maç şüphesiz ki Türk temsilcilerimizin Avrupa'da isimden bağımsız olarak, sistem ve teknik adam takımlarına karşı daha efektif bir oyun sergilemesi gerektiğini gösterdi.

Gruptaki 6. maçında hata yapmayan Fenerbahçe Spartak Trnava'yı taraftarının da harika itici gücüyle 4-0 mağlup etti ve lider olarak gruptan çıktı. Son 16 turunda Belçika'nın adından söz ettiren ve "teknik adam takımı" kavramına uyan dinamik takımı Union Saint-Gilloise ile karşılaşan Fenerbahçe, Nordsjælland takımı karşısında yaptığı hataları yapmayarak deplasmanda çok dominant bir oyunla 3-0 kazanırken Jayden Oosterwolde Gareth Bale'ın Barcelona'ya karşı attığı harika gol gibi ikonik bir gol atarak yıldızlaştı. 1 hafta sonraki maçta ise evinde Belçika ekibine 1-0 mağlup olan Fenerbahçe Çeyrek finale yükselerek Avrupa macerasına devam etti.

Çeyrek finalde Yunan ekibi Olympiacos ile karşılaşan Fenerbahçe ilk maçta deplasmanda 3-2 mağlup oldu. Son düdük çalarken eleştiri oklarının ucunda maça İsmail Yüksek ve Fred ile başlamayan teknik adam İsmail Kartal vardı. Rövanş maçında ise as kadrosu ile maça başlayan Fenerbahçe 1-0 üstünlüğünü sürdürüyorken dakika 86'da Fred'in oyundan alınmasıyla orta saha gücünü kaybetti ve uzatmalarda da efektif değişikliklerin yapılmamasıyla maç penaltılara gitti. Penaltılarda şanssız bir an yaşayan Fenerbahçe Yunan ekibine karşı elendi ve Olympiacos devam eden süreçte UEFA Konferans Ligi şampiyonu oldu. Sarı lacivertli taraftarların içinde büyük bir keşke olarak kalacak bu serüven her ne kadar kupa ile bitebilecekken bitmemiş olsada temsilcimizin topladığı puanların ülke puanına katkısı oldukça yüksek ve değerli.

TRENDYOL SÜPER LİG

Sezona 10/10 galibiyet ile fırtına gibi başlayan Fenerbahçe 4 Kasım tarihinde karşı karşıya geldiği Trabzonspor'a evinde 3-2 yenildi. Hemen ardından Adana Demirspor'a konuk olan Fenerbahçe sezon boyunca canını çok acıtacak olan beraberliklerinden ilkini aldı. Golsüz sonuçlanan maça rağmen liderliğini sürdüren sarı lacivertliler yoluna 4 haftalık galibiyet serisi ile devam ediyorken bu süre zarfında sezonda erken havlu atan Beşiktaş'ı da evinde 3-1 gibi bir skorla mağlup ederek oldukça net bir mesaj verdi.

Takvimler 24 Aralık'I gösterdiğinde herkesin beklediğinin aksine oldukça vasat geçen Galatasaray derbisini de golsüz beraberlikle geçen İsmail Kartal'ın öğrencileri yoluna sorunsuz şekilde devam etti. Fenerbahçe 21. haftaya gelindiğinde Samsunspor'la evinde 1-1 berabere kaldı. Galatasaray'ın olağanüstü performans sergilediği bu süreçte 25. haftada evinde bu sefer Alanyaspor ile 2-2 berabere kalan Fenerbahçe, liderlik koltuğunu bir daha geri alamamak üzere ezeli rakibi Galatasaray'a devretti.

Alanyaspor karşılaşması sonrasında yakaladığı 7 haftalık galibiyet serisi sırasında Fenerbahçe belki de bütün sezonu etkileyecek olan olaylı Trabzonspor deplasmanında 3-2 galip geldi. Sarı lacivertliler galip gelmesinin yanı sıra yabancı maddelerin havada uçuştuğu ve bu olaylara hakemin reaksiyon göstermemesi, taraftarların sahaya atlaması sonucunda çıkan arbede ve güvenlik önlemlerinin yetersizliği gibi bir sürü sorunla karşı karşıya kaldı.

33.hafta geldiğinde ezeli rakibinin 2 puan gerisinde olan Fenerbahçe, Sivasspor deplasmanında son dakika penaltısı ile 2-2 berabere kaldı ve puan farkı 4'e yükseldi. 34.haftada derbide Beşiktaş'ı 2-1 mağlup eden Fenerbahçe tam momentumu yakalıyorken küme düşmemek için mücadele eden Konyaspor deplasmanında oldukça etkisiz bir oyun sergileyerek 0-0 beraberlikle İstanbul'a döndü ve zirve yarışında puan farkı böylelikle 6'ya çıkmış oldu.

37. hafta gelip çattığında ise tüm Türkiye'de hayat adeta durma noktasına gelmişti. Lider Galatasaray evinde Fenerbahçe'yi konuk etti.1 puan alması halinde şampiyonluğunu ilan edecek olan Galatasaray karşısında Djiku'nun atılmasıyla erken bir kırmızı kartla 10 kişi kalan Fenerbahçe tek kelimeyle kusuruz, muazzam bir oyun sergileyerek 1-0 galip geldi. Müsabakadaki tek golü 71. dakikada Çağlar Söyüncü kayderken Fred performansıyla taraflı tarafsız bütün futbolseverlerin gözünü doldurdu. 38.hafta 6-0 gibi net bir skorla İstanbulspor'u yenmesine rağmen sarı lacivertliler, Galatasaray'ın 3-1 Konyaspor galibiyetinden dolayı şampiyonluğa erişemedi.

The Yellow Canaries have added players to their squad who have made and continue to make an impact in Europe during the preparation period for the new season.

In their fourth group match, Fenerbahçe faced disappointment as they failed to secure a victory against Ludogorets, losing 2-0 to the Bulgarian team. In their next away game, Fenerbahçe suffered another disappointing defeat, this time with a significant margin. Nordsjælland handed Fenerbahçe a crushing 6-1 loss at home. This match, marked by numerous injuries and absences, underscored the need for Turkish teams to play more effectively against well-organized and tactically adept sides in Europe, regardless of the opponents' names.

In their sixth group match, Fenerbahçe made no mistakes and, propelled by the incredible support of their fans, defeated Spartak Trnava 4-0, advancing as group leaders. In the Round of 16, Fenerbahçe faced Belgium's dynamic team Union Saint-Gilloise, known for their strong coaching philosophy. Learning from their previous errors against Nordsjælland, Fenerbahçe played a dominant game away and won 3-0, with Jayden Oosterwolde scoring an iconic goal reminiscent of Gareth Bale's famous goal against Barcelona. In the return match a week later, Fenerbahçe lost 1-0 at home to the Belgian side but still advanced to the quarterfinals, continuing their European journey.

In the quarterfinals, Fenerbahçe faced the Greek team Olympiacos and lost the first leg 3-2 away. Criticism was directed towards the coach, İsmail Kartal, for not starting the match with İsmail Yüksek and Fred. In the second leg, Fenerbahçe started with their main lineup and maintained a 1-0 lead until the 86th minute when Fred was substituted off, resulting in a loss of midfield strength. The lack of effective substitutions in extra time led the match to penalties. Immediately after, they visited Adana Demirspor and experienced their first draw of the season, which would prove to be a sore point throughout the season. Despite the goalless draw, the Yellow Canaries maintained their leadership position. Continuing their journey with a 4-week winning streak, they sent a clear message by defeating Beşiktaş at home with a convincing score of 3-1, also marking the early exit of Beşiktaş from the title race.

On December 24th, contrary to everyone's expectations, the highly anticipated Galatasaray derby ended in a lackluster goalless draw, but İsmail Kartal's students at Fenerbahçe continued their journey smoothly. As for Fenerbahçe, in the 21st week, they settled for a 1-1 draw at home against Samsunspor. Despite Galatasaray's extraordinary performance during this period, Fenerbahçe, after another draw, this time 2-2 at home against Alanyaspor in the 25th week, conceded the leadership throne to their eternal rival Galatasaray, unable to reclaim it thereafter.

Following their 7-week winning streak after the match against Alanyaspor, Fenerbahçe clinched a 3-2 victory in the tumultuous away game against Trabzonspor, a match that could potentially influence the entire season. Alongside their triumph, the Yellow Canaries encountered numerous issues, including the presence of foreign objects thrown onto the field, the referee's lack of response to these incidents, fans invading the pitch, and inadequate security measures.

In the 33rd week, Fenerbahçe, trailing their arch-rival by 2 points, settled for a 2-2 draw against Sivasspor away, courtesy of a last-minute penalty, thus widening the point gap to 4. In the 34th week, after defeating Beşiktaş 2-1 in the derby, Fenerbahçe seemed to gather momentum. However, in the away game against Konyaspor, who were fighting to avoid relegation, Fenerbahçe displayed a rather ineffective performance, ending the match in a goalless draw and returning to Istanbul with only 1 point, thereby increasing the gap in the title race to 6 points.

In the 37th week, life across Turkey came to a standstill as the highly anticipated match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe unfolded. Galatasaray, hosting Fenerbahçe, needed just 1 point to secure the championship. However, Fenerbahçe, despite being reduced to 10 men early on due to Djiku's dismissal with a red card, delivered a flawless, magnificent performance, clinching a 1-0 victory. The sole goal of the match came in the 71st minute from Çağlar Söyüncü, while Fred's performance mesmerized football fans across the board.

In the 38th week, despite defeating Istanbulspor with a resounding 6-0 scoreline, Fenerbahçe fell short of clinching the championship due to Galatasaray's 3-1 victory over Konyaspor.

Although this season's team, regarded as one of the most disciplined, high-quality, versatile, and chemistry-laden squads assembled in recent years, fell short of sporting success, Fenerbahçe's contribution to Turkish football through its academy, highlighted by the direct transfer of young star Arda Güler to Real Madrid, and its sound economic policies deserve admiration. The yellow and navy blues have already begun their preparations for the new season under the leadership of one of the world's finest coaches, the iconic Jose Mourinho, and club president Ali Koç, who has been re-elected.
