(TR) Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin 100. Yılı ve son sezon şampiyonu Galatasaray 2022-2023 sezonunu başarılı kadro mühendisliği ve güçlü derbi performanslarıyla taçlandırıp kupaya eriştikten sadece 3 hafta sonra yeni sezonu açtı. Sarı kırmızılılar bu 3 haftalık süre zarfında rüştünü ispat etmiş ve kalitesinden bütün futbol ikliminde söz ettiren futbolcuları renklerine bağladı.

Transfer sürecinde, geçen sezonun şüphesiz kahramanı Mauro Icardi'nin kalıcı transferi, Premier Lig'in en iyi top sürebilme kabiliyetine sahip olan futbolcularından biri Zaha'yı ve Davinson Sanchez, Angelino, Hakim Ziyech gibi isimleri kadrosuna katan kulüp ara transfer döneminde Sacha Boey'in Bayern Münih'e 30 milyon euroluk satışıyla ekonomik bir başarı elde ederken sol bek pozisyonunu da Derrick Köhn gibi potansiyelli bir futbolcu ile doldurdu. Galatasaray'ın bu sezon değerlendirmesini yapacağımızda ise Şampiyonlar Ligi ve Trendyol Süper Lig bazında ikiye ayırarak incelemek kuşkusuz ki çok önemli.

ŞAMPİYONLAR LİGİ

Galatasaray, Zalgiris ile 25 Temmuz'da karşılaşırken Şampiyonlar Ligi ön elemesinde sırasıyla Olimpija Ljubljana ve Molde'yi eleyerek Şampiyonlar Ligi gruplarına kaldı. A grubunu Kopenhag, Manchester United ve Bayern Munich gibi bu seviyelerin gediklisi olarak tabir edebileceğimiz takımlarla paylaşacak olan sarı kırmızılıların serüveni pek de isteyecekleri gibi başlamadı. Kopenhag karşısında iç sahada maç başında bulduğu net pozisyonları değerlendiremeyen Galatasaray 35. ve 58. dakikalarda kalesinde gördüğü gollerle 2-0 geriye düştü. Kopenhag'da 73. dakikada Jelert'in kırmızı kart görmesiyle rüzgarı arkasına alan Galatasaray 86. dakikada Boey ve 88. dakikada Tete ile bulduğu gollerle sahadan 1 puan alarak ayrılmaya razı oldu.

Kopenhag maçı ardından dünyanın belki de en büyülü atmosferlerinden birine sahip olan "Düşler Tiyatrosu" Old Trafford'a konuk olan Galatasaray Wilfried Zaha, Kerem Aktürkoğlu ve Mauro Icardi'nin gollerine karşılık Hojlund'un dublesiyle maçı 3-2 kazanarak tarihi bir galibiyete imza attı.

Grupta maç kaybetmeden yoluna devam eden Galatasaray tarihi zaferden sonra Rams Park'ta Bayern Münih ile karşılaştı. Maça muhteşem bir taraftar desteği ve ön alanda bire bir eşleşerek baskıyla başlayan sarı kırmızılılar çok net pozisyonlarda topu fileyle buluşturamadı. 8. dakikada gelen Coman'ın golü ile geriye düştükleri halde kusursuz denilebilecek bir baskıyla 30. dakikada kazandıkları penaltıyı ağlarla buluşturan Mauro Icardi ile beraberliği yakalarken yeni bir desibel rekoru kırılıyordu. Ardından 70. dakikaya kadar aynı şiddette baskı kurarak rakibini kendi yarı alanından çıkartmayan Galatasaray oyuncuların da kondisyon kaybı ile 73. dakikada ağlarında gördükleri Harry Kane'in golü ile tekrardan geriye düştü. Kaçan ritim ve yorgunluğun etkisiyle de Musiala'nın 3. golü maçı 3-1 sonlandırdı. Bu maç ile birlikte Türkiye futbolu aslında futbolda kondisyon, sürdürülebilir performans ve taktik anlayışında zaman zaman esneklik göstermek gerektiğinin önemini de bir kere daha görmüş oldu.

Bir sonraki maçında ise bu sefer Almanya'da tekrardan Bayern Münih ile karşılaşan Galatasaray yine harika bir performans ile maça başladı. İlk yarısında gol sesi çıkmayan müsabakada 62. dakikada Torreira'nın golü ile öne geçen sarı kırmızılılar golün ofsayt gerekçesi ile iptaliyle hayal kırıklığına uğrarken 80. ve 86. dakikada Harry Kane'in golleri ile 2-0 geri düştü. 90+3 te Bakambu'nun golü ile maçın sonucu belli oldu ve maç 2-1 sona erdi. Galatasaray tekrardan harika bir performans sergilediği Bayern Münih karşısında Almanya deplasmanından hakeme karşı da oldukça fazla eleştirilerin olduğu bir ortamda 0 puan ile eli boş döndü. Bu maçlar sırasında ise Bayern Münih'in spot ışıkları iki maçta da Leroy Sane'ye geçit vermeyen ve harikulade performans sergileyen Sacha Boey'e dönmüştü.

Rövanş maçlarının Bayern Münih karşısında başlamasının ardından evinde Manchester United'ı konuk eden sarı kırmızılılar İngiliz devine karşı yine kaybetmedi ve Onana'nın bireysel hatalarının yanı sıra Hakim Ziyech'in performansının da damga vurduğu maçta 3-3 lük skorla 1 puana razı oldu.

Grubun son maçında tarihin yazıldığı Parken Stadyumu'nda belki de en etkisiz oyununu oynayan Galatasaray 1-0 yenilerek yoluna UEFA Avrupa Ligi'nde devam etmek üzere Şampiyonlar Ligi'ne veda etti.

Galatasaray UEFA Avrupa Ligi'nde Sparta Prag'ı ilk maçta 3-2 mağlup edip deplasmanda ise 4-1 mağlup olup Avrupa serüveninde sona geldi. Bu kadar dominant bir oyun ve puanlarla başlayan Avrupa serüveninin böyle bitmesi şüphesiz hayal kırıklığına sebep oldu diyebiliriz. Okan Buruk'un Prag'ın alışılmışın dışındaki dizilişi karşısındaki B planı eksikliği, Kopenhag karşısında prensiplerinde esneklik gösterememesi gibi olumsuz durumlar bir kenara bırakıldığında, Manchester United ve Bayern Münih gibi devlerin karşısında oynadığı oyunla da takdire şayan bir performans sergilediğini ve bunu da sadece 2. yılında kadrosundaki çoğu transferden verim alamıyorken yaptığını da unutmamak gerekiyor. Galatasaray; Şampiyonlar Ligi'nden elde ettiği 30 milyon euroluk gelirle birlikte Boey'in Bayern Münih'in dikkatini çekip Alman devine transfer olmasıyla ayriyetten 30 milyon euroluk bir kazanç elde ederek Avrupa macerasında ekonomik olarak da çok kazançlı bir sezon geçirdi.

TRENDYOL SÜPER LİG

Galatasaray transferlerin de katmış olduğu ekstra kalite ile birlikte sezon boyunca zirvede Fenerbahçe ile kıyasıya bir rekabet içinde olduğu sezon geçirdi. Bu süre zarfında Süper Lig'de en çok art arda maç kazanan takım rekoru (16 maç), bir sezonda en fazla galibiyet (33 galibiyet), bir sezonda en fazla toplanılan puan (102), en uzun yenilmezlik serisi (23 maç) gibi rekorlara imza atan Galatasaray rekorların senesini geçirdi desek yeridir. Sarı kırmızılılar bu rekorların senesinde oldukça önemli kırılma anlarından geçti.

Hatayspor'a 2-1 mağlup olan sarı kırmızılılar ilk mağlubiyetini 11 Kasım'da aldı. Kısa bir süre ardından Kadıköy'de ezeli rakibine konuk olan Galatasaray, iki tarafın da vasatın bile altında performans sergilediği maçta 0-0 skor ile 1 puan aldı. Bu süreç ardından Süper Kupa'nın 100. Yılımızda Arabistan'da oynatılması yetmiyormuş gibi üstüne Atatürk tişörtleri, bayrağımız ve İstiklal Marşı'mızın pazarlık konusu edilmesi üzerine Türkiye'nin 100 yıllık çınarları çıkan olayları protesto ederek maça çıkmama kararı aldı ve Türkiye'ye geri döndü.

Galatasaray 25. haftada ise lider Fenerbahçe'nin yaşadığı puan kayıpları sonucunda 2 puanlık fark ile zirveye oturdu. Ligin 30. haftasında belki de her sene gerçekleşen ve şampiyonluğun alamet-i farikası olarak nitelendirilen son dakika golü ile gelen Kasımpaşa galibiyeti camia içindeki motivasyonu da hat safhaya çıkarmıştı. 4-3 lük bu galibiyette Carlos Vinicus son dakika golünü atıyor ve şampiyonluk meşalelerini adeta yakıyordu.

Arabistan'da oynanması planlanan fakat çıkan olaylar sonucunda 7 Nisan'a ertelenen Süper Kupa final maçında; Fenerbahçe, başkanı Ali Koç'un ve kongrenin Trabzon'da yaşanan olaylara karşı verdiği tepki kararıyla maça U-19 takımı ile çıkıyor ve Mauro Icardi'nin maç başlar başlamaz kaydettiği golün ardından sahadan çekiliyor, sarı kırmızılılar da bu sezonki ilk kupasını hükmen müzesine götürüyordu.

Sarı kırmızılılar 32. haftayla birlikte Barış Alper Yılmaz'ın yükselen form grafiğiyle Alanyaspor'u 4-0 mağlup etmesiyle yoluna devam etmişti. Galatasaray, 33. haftada Sivas engeline takılıp 2 puan daha kaybeden Fenerbahçe ile puan farkını 4'e çıkarmıştı. 35. haftada ise Fenerbahçe bu sefer Konyaspor'a takılıyor ve kaybettiği 2 puanla zirvede fark 6'ya uzanıyordu. 36.haftaya girildiğinde Karagümrük ile karşılaşan Galatasaray devre arasında Genoa'da kiralık olan ve geri dönen Berkan Kutlu'nun hayat öpücüğü ile son dakikalarda galip gelerek çok önemli bir aşamayı daha geçti.

Ligde takvimler 37. haftayı gösterdiğinde 1 puan aldığı takdirde bile şampiyonluğunu ilan edecek Galatasaray evinde Fenerbahçe'ye çok kötü bir oyunla 1-0 mağlup oldu. 10 kişi kalmasına rağmen muazzam bir oyun sergileyen Fenerbahçe Çağlar Söyüncü ile sarı kırmızılıların galibiyet serisi, iç sahada kazanma serisi gibi önemli süreçlerini bitirerek oldukça net bir mesaj verdi ve son saniyeye kadar futbolda hata ve rehavete yer olmadığını hissettirdi.

Sezonun son haftası ise Galatasaray, Konyaspor deplasmanına çıktı. Sarı-kırmızılılar, şampiyonluk için 1 puanın yeteceği maçı 3-1 kazandı ve Süper Lig'de 102 puanla rekor kırarak 24. şampiyonluğuna ulaştı.

Elindeki transferlerden istediği verimi alamamasına rağmen Okan Buruk ve ekibi 2. senesinde 2. lig şampiyonuğuna imza attı. Gol kralı Mauro Icardi, asist kralı Dries Mertens, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Lucas Torreira, kaptan Muslera'nın performanslarıyla ön planda olduğu sene sonucunda Galatasaray 5. yıldız hedefiyle yeni sezonun hazırlıklarına şimdiden başladı.

They also brought in Zaha, known for his exceptional dribbling skills in the Premier League, along with Davinson Sanchez, Angelino, and Hakim Ziyech. The club achieved economic success by selling Sacha Boey to Bayern Munich for €30 million during the winter transfer window, while also filling the left-back position with the promising Derrick Köhn. When evaluating Galatasaray's performance this season, it is crucial to examine their journey in both the Champions League and the Trendyol Süper Lig separately.

CHAMPIONS LEAUGE

Galatasaray faced Zalgiris on July 25 and advanced to the Champions League group stage by eliminating Olimpija Ljubljana and Molde in the qualifiers. In Group A, they will compete against seasoned teams like Copenhagen, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich. However, their journey did not start as desired. In their home match against Copenhagen, Galatasaray failed to capitalize on clear chances early in the game and conceded goals in the 35th and 58th minutes, falling behind 2-0. With Copenhagen's Jelert receiving a red card in the 73rd minute, Galatasaray seized the momentum and managed to secure a point with goals from Boey in the 86th minute and Tete in the 88th minute.

Following the Copenhagen match, Galatasaray visited Old Trafford, one of the most magical atmospheres in the world, also known as the "Theatre of Dreams." In a historic victory, Galatasaray triumphed 3-2 against Manchester United with goals from Wilfried Zaha, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, and Mauro Icardi, countering Hojlund's brace.

Continuing their journey in the group without losing a match, Galatasaray faced Bayern Munich at Rams Park after their historic victory. Despite starting the match with magnificent fan support and applying pressure with one-on-one matchups in the forward areas, the Yellow-Reds failed to convert clear chances into goals. Galatasaray suffered their first defeat on November 11, losing 2-1 to Hatayspor. Shortly after, they visited their arch-rivals in Kadıköy, where both teams delivered a below-par performance, resulting in a goalless draw and one point each. Following this period, amidst the controversy of the Super Cup being played in Saudi Arabia for our 100th Year, and the debate over the use of Atatürk t-shirts, our flag, and our national anthem, the stalwarts of Turkey's 100-year history protested by deciding not to participate in the match and returned to Turkey.

In the 25th week, Galatasaray took the lead in the standings with a 2-point difference due to the point drops experienced by leader Fenerbahçe. The victory against Kasımpaşa in the 30th week, which is often considered as an omen of championship with a last-minute goal, further boosted the morale within the club. In this 4-3 victory, Carlos Vinicus scored the last-minute goal, igniting the flames of championship celebration.

Despite being reduced to 10 men, Fenerbahçe displayed a magnificent performance, ending Galatasaray's winning streak and home winning streak, among other important runs. Their victory sent a clear message that there is no room for error or complacency in football until the final whistle.

The final week of the season saw Galatasaray travel to face Konyaspor. The Yellow-Reds won the match 3-1, securing the championship with a record-breaking 102 points in the Süper Lig and claiming their 24th title.

Okan Buruk and his team clinched their second consecutive championship title in the second division, despite not achieving the desired performance from their transfers. With stellar performances from top scorer Mauro Icardi, assist leader Dries Mertens, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Lucas Torreira, and captain Muslera, Galatasaray has already begun preparations for the new season with their sights set on their 5th star goal.
